Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Clinical Documentation QA Specialist to uphold the integrity and accuracy of medical records within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in health information management and clinical documentation processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and industry standards. As a key member of our team, you will oversee quality assurance activities related to clinical documentation, support regulatory compliance, and promote best practices in health information management.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough reviews of electronic health records (EHR) and medical records to verify completeness, accuracy, and adherence to policies.
Collaborate with care team to improve documentation quality, ensuring compliance with health regulation policies and medical coding standards.
Implement quality assurance protocols for clinical documentation processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback.
Maintain detailed records of audit findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions taken to ensure ongoing compliance with health information regulatory standards.
Support training initiatives aimed at enhancing staff understanding of healthcare privacy protection, medical terminology, and records management best practices.
Monitor updates in healthcare privacy laws and regulations to ensure organizational policies remain current and compliant.
Assist in the development and refinement of procedures related to electronic health records (EHR) management and revenue cycle management.

Qualifications

Proven experience in health information management or medical records review within a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems.
Familiarity with healthcare privacy protection laws such as HIPAA or equivalent regulations.
Experience with health regulation policy knowledge and compliance standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for identifying documentation discrepancies.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and provide clear guidance on documentation standards.
