Full Job Description

PRN PET/CT Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Duties:

- Perform nuclear medicine procedures using a variety of imaging equipment and techniques.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and monitor their response during imaging procedures.
- Operate specialized equipment such as gamma cameras, PET scanners, and SPECT scanners.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze imaging results.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and aseptic techniques to minimize radiation exposure risks.

Skills:

- Proficient in performing nuclear medicine procedures, including PET scans, sonography, mammography, and medical imaging.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with ER protocols and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
