Full Job Description

Our Conroe, Houston and Austin offices are seeking a reliable and energetic associate attorney licensed to practice in Texas. As an associate, you'll be part of a collaborative environment, working closely with partners, colleagues, staff, and clients, gaining hands-on experience in every phase of litigation – all without the pressure of billable hour requirements. We invest in your professional growth through ongoing training, a structured mentorship and development program, and opportunities to engage in marketing and business development, empowering you to take ownership of your role and position yourself for future partnership opportunities.

Starting Compensation $85,000 - $100,000 per year

Essential Duties

Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, notices, and judgments
Conduct legal research and analyze issues, including chains of title and tax matters
Prepare for dockets and represent clients in court appearances in Harris and surrounding counties
Collaborate with staff on collection and litigation activities
Communicate with clients, taxpayers, and opposing counsel
Participate in business development, including networking events and statewide conferences

Professional Skills

Effectively manage a large caseload
Identify and analyze complex issues
Provide research that is thorough and responsive to issue at hand
Write in an organized, clear, and concise manner
Work in a supervisory position

Required Experience

0-2 years of legal experience preferred
Admitted to the State Bar of Texas
