Full Job Description

Job Overview

The Bellamy Law Firm has a Paralegal / Legal Assistant position available within its firm. The person selected for this position would be working with one of the firm’s Shareholders who primarily handles Family Law cases (along with Personal Injury and other Litigation Matters). The job description related to this position is as follows:

Job Description:

Assist attorney with scheduling client appointments, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
Assist attorney with communication with the Court, opposing attorneys or prosecutors, mediators, litigants, witnesses, and / or experts
Work with attorney and clients in preparation of pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other court filings.
Work with attorney and clients preparing discovery, including, formulating, and responding to written discovery.
Maintain and monitor filing deadlines and any applicable statute of limitations.
Maintain client files and ensuring that such files are in kept in an organized manner.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Family law and/or litigation experience preferred (but not a requirement).
