Full Job Description

VIBRA TRAVELS is seeking a Travel Laboratory Assistant to join our expanding network of healthcare professionals. We’re looking for dependable, detail-focused travelers with experience supporting laboratory operations in a healthcare setting. If you're ready to play a vital role behind the scenes of patient care while traveling the country, this is your opportunity!

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital or clinical laboratory experience as a laboratory assistant, lab aide, or similar role
Current BLS certification through a Vibra Travels approved vendor required; client may require AHA
High school diploma or GED required; completion of a laboratory assistant or related healthcare training program preferred
Current, valid, and active driver’s license required
Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation
Certificates, Licensures, Registrations: Any current, valid, and active license and/or certification required to practice as a laboratory assistant in the state of employment
Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required, AHA preferred and may be required by some clients

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

Experience providing intraoperative first assist support including tissue handling, exposure, and hemostasis
Ability to assist with suturing, wound closure, and instrument handling as permitted by scope of practice
Knowledge of surgical anatomy, procedures, and sterile technique
Familiarity with operating room protocols and patient safety standards
Strong attention to accuracy and detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR teams
Free from illegal drug use and effects of alcohol in the workplace
