Assistant Wedding Coordinator

Position Type: Contract 1099 / Event-Based
Location: On-site wedding venues (varies by event)
Compensation: Hourly, based on experience
Availability: Weekend availability required

About the Role

We are expanding our coordination team for the coming wedding season and are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Assistant Wedding Coordinators to support our Lead Coordinators on wedding days. Our coordinators work in a team-based environment, collaborating closely to deliver smooth, well-executed events.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy fast-paced environments, supporting behind-the-scenes logistics, and being part of a professional, organized coordination team.

Responsibilities

Support the Lead Wedding Coordinator with wedding day logistics
Assist with vendor arrivals, check-ins, and setup coordination
Help execute timeline cues and transitions throughout the event
Support décor placement and personal item setup according to plans
Assist the wedding party and immediate family as needed
Run small errands and troubleshoot issues as directed
Maintain clear communication with the Lead Coordinator and team
Help pack up personal items and décor at the conclusion of the event
Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and a positive attitude at all times

Qualifications

Event or wedding experience preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
Positive, team-oriented mindset
Comfortable working long days on your feet
Reliable weekend availability
Ability to remain calm and adaptable in high-energy environments
