POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction and guidance of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes for the Tribal Government, Rolling Hills Clinic, Paskenta Mad River Brewing, Paskenta Brewery & Distillery and other non-gaming Tribal Enterprises. This role acts as liaison between employees and the Human Resources Department. This position provides direct support to the Employee Relations, Recruiting and Training functions. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration:

Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.

Assists in completing Forms I-9, verifying I-9 documentation and maintaining I-9 files.
- Processes departmental purchases in accordance with policy.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR files or programs as assigned.
- Assists with processing of terminations and processing files in accordance with departmental retention standards.

Assists with the preparation of the performance review process when requested.

Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process in absence of the Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
- Assists with data entry in the HRIS with various tasks.

Schedules meetings and interviews as requested.
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.

Manages employee files and related record keeping in accordance with retention policies.

Assists or prepares reports and correspondence as requested.

Prepares new-employee files and validates initial records.

Processes mail.
- Required to maintain HIPAA certification.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Employee Engagement, Employee Events

Plans, organizes, and supports Human Resources departmental functions.
- Participates and assists with all HR departmental events or company sponsored programs.
- Coordinates and supports employee events including but not limited to employee appreciation, employee engagement and other employer events.
- Prepares the annual schedule of employee events, including suggesting venues and themes when appropriate.
- Prepares employee communications and manages attendance records, budget records and other employee event related materials.

Assists the HR Manager with tracking employment relation issues and reports trends to the HR Manager and/or HR Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree from an accredited College or University with major course work in business, human resources or related field and 2 years’ experience, or 5 years of experience working in a Human Resources Department.
- Certified fingerprint roller or must be able to obtain certification as a fingerprint roller within 6 months of employment.
- THRP certified or ability to attain within the first year of employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resources practices and protocols.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

- Local travel is regularly required. Out-of-state travel is occasionally required.
