Full Job Description

Senior Vice President – OPWDD Residential Services

Full Time

Salary: $140K - $150K/yr

Bethpage, NY (Travel Required)

At Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE), we empower over 5,500 people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health challenges to thrive in their communities. FREE provides a diverse array of supports and services including: housing; recovery services; transition to work; employment; day, community and family services; respite; crisis services; education and after-school support; specialty health services; and advocacy.

Reporting to the Chief Clinical and Housing Officer, the Senior Vice President, OPWDD Residential Services, provides strategic and operational leadership for the residential division, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services that support people in achieving their goals and maximizing quality of life. You will also be responsible for regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and fiscal stewardship.

Specifically, you will:

Partner with the Chief Housing and Clinical Officer to develop, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives, program goals, and service delivery outcomes for Residential Services.
Provide leadership, supervision, performance management, and professional development for assigned staff, ensuring training, compliance, and accountability standards are met.
Oversee residential program operations, staffing models, and budgets, ensuring effective resource utilization, fiscal responsibility, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Ensure high-quality, person-centered services through appropriate supervision, regulatory compliance, timely documentation, and adherence to agency policies and procedures.
Coordinate with internal departments, community partners, legislators, and other stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and support program growth and effectiveness.
Provide operational support and crisis management including emergency response, staffing challenges, program development activities, and continuity of services.

We require:

Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field
10+ years of progressive management experience in health and human services
5+ years supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
Deep knowledge of OPWDD and DOH regulations, Medicaid waiver services, and managed care
Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills
A genuine passion for advocacy and person-centered care
