Job Overview

Education to Employment Partners (E2E) is seeking an experienced, creative, and highly collaborative Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the organization’s communications, storytelling, public visibility, and brand efforts across the Coastal Bend.

E2E brings together schools, employers, postsecondary institutions, community organizations, and other partners to connect people to education, career, and economic opportunity. The Marketing & Communications Manager will help tell the story of that work—connecting programs and partnerships to the bigger picture and helping the community understand E2E’s collective impact.

This is a working manager role for an experienced communications professional who can move comfortably between strategy and execution. The Manager will supervise the Marketing Coordinator and Community Relations Coordinator; serve as a trusted communications advisor to the Executive Director, Program Directors, and staff; strengthen E2E’s media and digital presence; and provide leadership for career exploration conferences and community engagement efforts.

The ideal candidate is an excellent storyteller and communicator who brings strong professional judgment, confidence without ego, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment where many programs and partners contribute to a shared mission.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Marketing, Communications, and Storytelling

· Develop and implement E2E’s marketing and communications strategy.

· Identify and develop compelling stories across E2E’s programs, partnerships, participants, employers, schools, and regional initiatives.

· Connect individual program accomplishments to the larger story of E2E’s regional impact.

· Translate complex programs, partnerships, data, and outcomes into clear and engaging communications for diverse audiences.

· Oversee organizational content, publications, messaging, and brand standards.

· Ensure communications appropriately recognize E2E’s partners while clearly communicating the organization’s role and impact.

Media and Digital Communications

· Lead E2E’s media relations and develop strong relationships with local and regional media.

· Proactively identify and pitch newsworthy stories, coordinate interviews, and develop press releases, talking points, and other media materials.

· Advise and prepare the Executive Director and organizational leadership for media and public communications.

· Provide strategy and oversight for E2E’s social media, website, email marketing, and digital communications.

· Supervise and support the Marketing Coordinator in content planning, creation, execution, and analytics.

Internal Communications Leadership

· Serve as E2E’s internal communications expert and trusted advisor to Program Directors and staff.

· Help program teams develop effective strategies for promoting programs, events, opportunities, accomplishments, and impact.

· Identify opportunities to connect stories and activities across programs and communicate E2E’s broader regional impact.

· Provide professional communications guidance while respecting the expertise, responsibilities, and established relationships of other E2E leaders.

Team, Conferences, and Community Engagement

· Supervise, coach, and support the Marketing Coordinator and Community Relations Coordinator.

· Provide leadership and oversight for E2E’s career exploration conferences, signature events and community relations.

· Support the Community Relations Coordinator in conference planning and execution while guiding event communications, branding, promotion, media, and participant experience.

· Work collaboratively with Program Directors and staff responsible for employer, education, and community partnerships to ensure events and outreach align with E2E’s broader goals.

· Manage communications and event projects and budgets.

QualificationsEducation and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.

· Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, public relations.

· Demonstrated experience in storytelling, content development, media relations, social and digital communications, and communications strategy.

· Experience supervising, coaching, mentoring, or directing the work of others strongly preferred.

· Experience with conferences, community events, or multi-partner initiatives preferred.

· Nonprofit, education, or other mission-driven experience preferred.

· Knowledge of the Coastal Bend region, including its communities, media landscape, and community organizations, strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

· Strong instincts for finding compelling stories and translating complex work into engaging communications.

· Strong knowledge of media relations, social media, digital communications, content strategy, and brand management.

· Strong leadership, relationship-building, project-management, and organizational skills.

· Ability to build credibility, advise and influence colleagues, and provide confident professional recommendations without relying solely on positional authority.

· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment where multiple programs and partners may bring different priorities to a shared goal.

· Professionalism, discretion, reliability, sound judgment, and a collaborative, low-ego approach to leadership.

· Ability to balance strategic thinking, team leadership, and hands-on execution.

· Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events and travel locally as needed.

Reports to: Reports directly to the E2E Executive Director

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 annually. This position is full-time. Benefits include paid holidays, personal leave, and sick leave. Medical, dental, and vision benefit options are available to all employees.

Location: Primary office space is at the E2E Main Offices in Corpus Christi
