Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Biller and play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes for our healthcare providers. In this energetic and detail-oriented position, you will manage the entire billing cycle, from coding procedures to submitting claims and following up on payments. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycle management, improve cash flow, and enhance patient satisfaction. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional healthcare financial services.

Responsibilities

Prepare and submit healthcare claims using billing software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements.
Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims through medical collection efforts, resolving discrepancies promptly to secure reimbursement.
Verify patient insurance coverage, explain benefits, and address billing inquiries with excellent customer service skills.
Maintain detailed medical records, ensure proper documentation of procedures, diagnoses, and coding accuracy in accordance with healthcare claims management standards.
Stay updated on changes in health insurance policies, ICD coding updates (ICD-9 to ICD-10 transition), and medical billing regulations to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation or coding issues that may impact claim processing.

Skills

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and coding systems including ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and DRG classifications.
Proficiency in using billing software, Microsoft Office suite, and EMR/EHR systems for efficient data entry and claim processing.
Experience with healthcare claims management processes from submission to reimbursement.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
Familiarity with health insurance policies, benefits verification, and medical collection procedures.
Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately and apply appropriate medical coding standards.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
