As a Material Handler (Water Spider) in our machine shop, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, tools, and supplies to the production teams, enabling them to maintain efficiency and meet production goals.

· Material Management: Deliver materials, tools, and supplies to workstations as needed to minimize downtime.
· Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting regular counts and updates.
· Process Improvement: Collaborate with production staff to identify opportunities for improving material flow and efficiency.
· Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment by reporting hazards and unsafe practices.
· Communication: Maintain clear communication with production teams and supervisors to ensure timely material delivery and address any needs.
· Cleanliness and Organization: Keep work areas organized and clean, ensuring that tools and materials are stored properly.
· Assistance in Production: Assist operators and machinists with setup and tool changes as needed, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
· Perform minor machine maintenance such as; changing worn accessories, oiling and cleaning machines, dies, or parts, and adding coolant to machine reservoirs.
· Reports all malfunctioning equipment and non-conforming parts to Lead person or immediate Supervisors to determine course of action needed.
· Performs record keeping, data entry, house keeping and follows safety regulations.
· Follow all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and performs other housekeeping duties.
· Attends all required job related training (internal and external).

Education and/or Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
· Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
· Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials handling.
· Read and interpret blueprints or other job specifications
· Ability to make all inspections on machined parts using precision measuring equipment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should know basic mainframe computer systems.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract six digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Evidence of “USperson” is required under ITAR.
