Full Job Description

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Our midwestern roots run deep. Founded in1974, Lanoha Nurseries, Inc is one of the largest family-owned & operated Nursery, Garden Center, and Landscape Construction & Design Firm in the Midwest. With over 700 acres in nursery production, our team cultivates, maintains, and installs the largest selection of homegrown trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals throughout the metro.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This AP Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining vendor relationships, processing invoices, and contributing to the overall financial integrity of the organization.

Responsibilities

Invoice Processing:

- Review and verify for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.

- Code and enter invoices to meet payment deadlines.

Vendor Management:

- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status and other inquiries.

- Maintain positive vendor relationships and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Payment Processing:

- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card payments.

- Reconcile payments and maintain accurate records of all transactions

Month End Reconciliation:

- Assist in month end closing activities related to accounts payable.

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.

Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

- Generate and analyze reports related to accounts payable for management review.

Other Duties as Assigned:

- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, receipts, and other related documents.

- Assist in the development and improvement of AP processes and procedures.

Requirements

· Associates degree in accounting or related field

· Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Coordinator or in a similar position

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

· Proficiency with accounting software and Office 365

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
