Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our team in Tangipahoa Parish. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate payroll processing and financial management, contributing to our mission of community safety and support.

Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries regarding payroll.
Perform data entry tasks related to payroll and accounting functions.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information is maintained.
Prepare reports related to payroll metrics for management review.
Support the finance department with general accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in payroll management or a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in data entry with attention to detail.
Knowledge of benefits administration processes is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
