About Us

Serenity Oaks Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital (SOIRH) is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art 24-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) located in Hammond, Louisiana. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional rehabilitative care to patients recovering from serious illness, injury, or surgery. As a growing organization, we offer an energetic, patient-centered environment where clinical excellence and compassionate care are our highest priorities.

Position Summary

The Materials Manager is responsible for directing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of all supplies and equipment at SOIRH. This role ensures that clinical and operational departments are consistently equipped to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all purchasing, receiving, and inventory control functions for facility supplies and equipment
Develop and maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
Monitor and control supply costs; identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
Collaborate with department leaders to forecast supply needs and prevent shortages
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards related to materials management and medical supplies
Oversee management of medical equipment, durable medical goods, and capital asset inventory
Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare regular reports for facility leadership
Coordinate with clinical staff to evaluate and source new products as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum two (2) years of materials management experience, preferably in a healthcare or acute care setting
Knowledge of healthcare procurement processes, inventory management systems, and supply chain operations
Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in inventory management software preferred
