Full Job Description

Heartstrings Foundation Supported Living Agency is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) and medically fragile conditions. We are currently hiring compassionate and reliable DSP’S, HCA’S, and CNA’S to provide in-home support to clients throughout Pierce County 24 hours a day.

We are currently hiring for several positions – both part time and full time. Some requirements for these positions are:

1. Able to drive your own vehicle during shift to transport the client (mileage is reimbursable).

2. Must be available to work Sunday dayshift and/or Saturday and Sunday night shifts.

Position Overview

Our Staff plays a key role in helping adults live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes. This role is hands-on, meaningful, and ideal for individuals who enjoy caregiving and community support work.

DSP’S Primary Responsibilities

Support and assist adult clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s)
Provide cueing, verbal support and instructions with personal care
Support client with instructions and assisting with cooking, cleaning et all household tasks
Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment
Support client with community outings, transportation and appointments HCA’S & CNA’S Responsibilities
Support and instruct clients with medical issues requiring specific care
Support and instruct clients with GT, Iliostomy care as delegated
Assist adult clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Provide support with showers, incontinence care, and personal hygiene
Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment
Prepare, cook, and clean up meals
Complete laundry and household tasks
Support clients during community outings
Accompany clients to appointments
Participate in nurse delegation tasks when required

Shifts Available

All shifts (day, swing, overnight)
