Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing nutritional guidance and support to patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met for optimal health outcomes. This position requires a strong background in dietetics, patient assessment, and the ability to create individualized care plans. The Dietitian will work closely with other healthcare professionals in various settings, including hospitals and long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs and dietary habits.
Develop and implement personalized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations and patient goals.
Provide health coaching to patients, guiding them towards healthier lifestyle choices and weight loss strategies.
Supervise dietary department staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
Collaborate with medical teams to address the nutritional needs of patients in acute care and geriatrics.
Manage tube feeding protocols for patients requiring specialized nutrition support.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using EMR systems.
Stay updated on the latest research in nutrition and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field; registered dietitian status preferred.
Experience in long-term care settings or hospitals is highly desirable.
Proficiency in physiology knowledge related to nutrition and dietary practices.
Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques and patient assessment methodologies.
Previous supervisory experience within a dietary department is a plus.
