Full Job Description

Come join our team! Clairon Metals has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant. We are looking for someone to assist and support the Accounting/Finance team with accurate and timely financial reporting, general financial oversight and analysis. This Senior Accountant role offers opportunities for advancement, with a clear and structured path toward a future management position. This is a salaried exempt position.

Qualifications:

Must have at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
BBA major in Accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Must be fluent in English; effective attention to detail and accuracy; in-depth knowledge of Excel & ERP systems. Able to work on multiple projects independently & simultaneously.
Excellent organizational & time management skills.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

Prepares and records month-end journal entries for corporate general ledger.
Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, group insurance, and customer pricing worksheets.
Prepares sales & use, payroll, and property tax returns as needed.
Pays group insurance bills, employee garnishments, child support, credit cards, and other special pays.
Performs audits of: payroll processing, raw materials A/P processing, and costing for bill of materials.
Processes special billing/invoicing and applies most A/R cash receipts.
Ad hoc & regular summary reporting, with some minor cost accounting duties.
Reconciles/records fixed asset additions/deletions annually.
