IngMar Medical, LLC, Respiratory Simulation Specialists, ingmarmed.com, located at 400 N Lexington St, Pittsburgh, PA 15208, is seeking an experienced full-time Production Technician to assemble, test, and when necessary, troubleshoot products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow written instructions to skillfully utilize a variety of hand tools, adhesives, and simple test equipment to assemble, test, and package high quality products
- Consistent proper use and handling of all equipment, materials, and tools while adhering to safety guidelines
- Ensure all product, materials, parts, and documentation follow company specifications and ISO & QMS standards
- Contribute to the development of work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Assist Engineering and Production teams in the development of new products and/or the improvement of existing products
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning products and components
- Assist Service team with troubleshooting/repair of product
- Maintain clean and organized workspace and production area
- May also work on or lead other projects, and help with other duties
- Secondary Responsibilities: May be cross-trained and learn other essential functions as opportunities arise as determined by the Production Manager or the Director of Operations
Education and Experience:
- AS degree in related field, or HSD/GED & equivalent applicable work experience required
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical assembly
- Experience in the medical device industry a plus
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and adhere to policy, procedure, shop drawings and work instructions
- Demonstrated knowledge of the use of tools, wiring and soldering techniques
- Ability to work productively with a focused attention to detail on a repetitive basis
- Strong working knowledge of PC/Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to troubleshoot product effectively
- Familiarity with QMS (quality management system) standards, certification requirements, testing procedures and documentation
- Effective communication skills - ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with leaders and peers
- Strong initiative and accountability, requiring minimal direction and supervision
- Time-management ability and a willingness to work extra if needed
- Commitment to quality - a consistent and proactive commitment to the principles and practices that result in quality products and services, satisfied customers, and continual improvement
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Manual dexterity
- Daily use of computer keyboard, mouse, and viewing of multiple monitors
- Skill and ability to effectively use and manipulate essential job tools and testing equipment
- Ability to read, see, hear, and speak
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and actively move about the facility on a regular basis

Work Environment:
- Professional office and shop with routine use of standard office equipment such as computer, monitors, calculator, multi-line phone, mobile devices, scanner, filing cabinet, as well, as tools used to assemble products, prototypes and models.
- Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes
Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses and gloves, as needed. Follow all recommendations from OSHA.
Schedule:
On-site Monday through Friday, regular, forty-hours per week, daylight business schedule, i.e., 8/9 AM – 4/5 PM. Some nontraditional and/or overtime hours when necessary due to training, a compelling departmental need, customer, or project requirement.
