Are you a licensed insurance professional with entrepreneurial ambitions?

Farmers Insurance is seeking motivated sales professionals to join a unique development program designed to help talented individuals prepare for future agent opportunities.

This is more than a traditional insurance sales role. As an Agency Development Sales Specialist, you'll be placed on assignment with Farmers Insurance* and will gain hands-on experience developing customer relationships, building referral partnerships, generating new business opportunities and strengthening the sales, marketing, and business development skills that contribute to success in an insurance agency.

Throughout the program, you'll work alongside experienced coaches and industry leaders while receiving training, support, and real-world business development experience. You'll be encouraged to develop prospecting strategies, establish centers of influence, and build relationships within the local communities.

Requirements

Active Property & Casualty License required
Life & Health License preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of sales and customer-facing experience
Proven ability to meet goals and achieve results

Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Accomplish

Develop and execute your own business development and sales strategies
Evaluate lead sources, identify market opportunities, and develop prospecting strategies to support business growth
Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly activity plans to achieve sales and development goals
Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers
Generate new business through referrals, networking, centers of influence, community engagement, and marketing activities
Conduct customer needs assessments, coverage reviews, and risk evaluations to recommend appropriate insurance solutions
Sell and cross-sell auto, home, life, commercial, specialty, and other insurance products
Build and manage a growing book of business
Identify market opportunities and target customer segments
Develop local marketing and outreach initiatives to generate leads
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries, supporting ongoing account needs, and building long-term customer relationships
Maintain accurate activity and customer records within company systems
Complete professional development milestones and licensing requirements
Stay current on industry trends, products, and sales strategies
