About Artelye

Artelye is an established countertop and stone fabrication and installation company with more than 30 years in business. We operate from locations in Beltsville, Maryland, and Raleigh, North Carolina, with additional accounting support provided by our overseas team.

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to help strengthen our accounting processes, improve financial reporting, and support our continued growth.

The Role

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working closely with operations and company leadership.

The Accounting Manager will oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting activities, manage the monthly closing process, review reconciliations, and coordinate the work of our U.S. and overseas accounting teams.

The right candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of accounting processes while helping the team improve over time.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting activities across our Beltsville and Raleigh locations.
Manage the general ledger and monthly closing process in Sage Intacct.
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
Support job costing, work-in-progress reporting, and construction-related accounting.
Review payroll and contractor costs to ensure accurate recording in the general ledger.
Coordinate and review work completed by our overseas accounting support team.
Help maintain accurate and consistent financial information across locations and cost centers.
Prepare timely monthly financial statements and management reports.
Improve and document accounting procedures and internal controls.
Work closely with company ownership, operations, payroll providers, and external accounting professionals.

What We’re Looking For

Five or more years of accounting experience.
Previous supervisory, senior accountant, or accounting management experience.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or another job-costing environment.
Strong understanding of general-ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, or percentage-of-completion accounting.
Experience with Sage Intacct is strongly preferred.
Experience working with multiple locations, departments, or cost centers.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AIA progress billing, including G702 and G703 forms.
Familiarity with retainage, lien waivers, and subcontractor cost tracking.
Experience with UKG or another payroll system.
Experience coordinating with remote or overseas accounting teams.
CPA or CMA designation is a plus, but not required.
