Full Job Description

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Accounts Payable Clerk reports directly to the Senior Accountant

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting the Accounting Department

through the accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor management, payment

processing, account reconciliations, and maintenance of accounts payable records.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and timely in JGalileo Accounting Software.
Create and maintain vendor records, including setting up new vendors and updating existing vendor information.
Process and pay intercompany invoices in accordance with company policies and payment terms.
Review, match, and process freight invoices for payment.
Reconcile vendor accounts and statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Maintain organized accounts payable files and supporting documentation.
Save and maintain invoice records in the company shared drive.
Prepare and manage annual 1099 reporting, ensuring W-9 forms are collected and
maintained.
Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities as assigned.
Assist with year-end physical inventory counts and related activities as needed.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
