Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate.
Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials that excite our guests.
Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination.
Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, ensuring all kitchen areas are sanitized and stocked for smooth operation.
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and timely meal delivery during busy hours.
Assist with catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook proteins and other menu items according to recipes and specifications
Operate grills, ovens, and other commercial kitchen equipment
Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal assembly
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
Follow food safety and handling procedures at all times
Work efficiently to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management

Requirements

Previous experience as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant or commercial kitchen
Experience with food preparation and cooking
Proficiency with grilling and oven-cooking meats
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, demonstrating strong kitchen skills and culinary knowledge.
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques across different cuisines.
Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus, highlighting attention to special dietary needs.
Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling best practices ensures safety and efficiency.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food storage methods.
Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
