Overview

Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized support. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive in-home care, ensuring safety, comfort, and independence for clients across various stages of life and health conditions. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a nurturing environment, promoting well-being and quality of life for those you serve.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
Monitor and observe patients’ health status by checking vital signs, administering medication as prescribed, and documenting care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking to promote healthy living.
Support clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia through specialized memory care techniques and patient observation.
Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to foster social engagement and independence.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery and adherence to prescribed care plans.

Experience

Prior experience working in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to provide patient personal care assistance with compassion and professionalism.
Knowledge of medical procedures including medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and vital signs monitoring.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, or neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Familiarity with hospice care principles and supporting clients through end-of-life stages is a plus.
Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely using proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other patient transfer methods.
Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and coordination with healthcare providers while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
