We are currently seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a hospital-based rehabilitation team in Texas. This unique opportunity offers a diverse caseload split between pediatric and adult patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings. The facility promotes a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and provides mentorship and support for new graduates and Clinical Fellows.
Position Overview
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, patients, and families to develop individualized treatment plans and help patients achieve optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations.

Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for pediatric and adult patients.

Providing treatment for speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia disorders.

Performing bedside swallowing evaluations and participating in instrumental swallowing assessments as appropriate.

Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Collaborating with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.

Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, home programs, and compensatory strategies.

Participating in quality improvement initiatives and departmental programs.

Contributing to a positive, patient-centered care environment.
Requirements

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.

Clinical Fellows (CFY candidates) are encouraged to apply.

Completion of all supervised clinical practicum requirements necessary for Texas licensure.

Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.

Previous pediatric, hospital, acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, or dysphagia experience preferred but not required.
