Position Summary
ODS is seeking a Client Services Project Manager to join our Plano, TX team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of client-facing projects within a business vertical, such as application development, web development, business process improvement, systems integration, or professional services delivery.
The Client Services Project Manager will provide structure, leadership, and strategic direction across multiple projects while balancing resources, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations. This position partners closely with executive leadership, clients, analysts, QA teams, developers, vendors, and technical resources to ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal Client Services Project Manager has strong experience in external client project delivery, IT consulting, professional services, SDLC coordination, stakeholder communication, scope management, budget tracking, risk mitigation, and cross-functional team leadership.
Compensation, Location, and Schedule
Base Salary: $115,000 – $120,000 annually
Bonus: 10% annual bonus target
Location: 3100 E Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074
Schedule: Hybrid work model, 3 days in office
Key Responsibilities
The Client Services Project Manager will be responsible for leading client-facing project delivery from initiation through execution, closure, and post-project review.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s business, client needs, stakeholder expectations, project requirements, and operational goals.
- Partner with project team members, including business analysts, QA resources, developers, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders, to define project approach, deliverables, timelines, and required tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams to estimate project cost, scope, schedule, resources, and delivery timelines using established processes and project management tools.
- Obtain stakeholder approval and sign-off on project charters, scope documents, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and change requests.
- Develop, improve, and support enterprise-wide project delivery processes from scoping and planning through execution, reporting, closure, and retrospective review.
- Coordinate project team activities and ensure tasks are completed on time by scheduling, leading, and facilitating project meetings, including kickoffs, status meetings, internal reviews, stakeholder reviews, and project closeout sessions.
- Communicate project action items, deadlines, risks, dependencies, and expectations clearly to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver regular project status reports to project teams, clients, stakeholders, and management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day project issues, escalations, risks, and delivery updates.
- Develop, maintain, review, and distribute project documentation, including project charters, status reports, schedules, budgets, invoices, change orders, risk logs, meeting notes, and retrospective reviews.
- Collaborate on the content, strategy, and presentation of key client deliverables to ensure quality, relevance, timeliness, and alignment with project objectives.
- Ensure all project documentation follows internal standards, approval workflows, and documentation processes.
- Manage vendor, consultant, software provider, and third-party relationships as needed.
- Coordinate activities across the project management team and maintain overall responsibility for successful delivery of assigned projects.
- Manage project scope, change control, schedules, budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed successfully and within established constraints.
- Identify project risks, develop risk response plans, track mitigation activities, and communicate risk status to stakeholders and leadership.
- Establish benchmarks for deliverable quality and take corrective action when needed.
- Oversee assigned projects to ensure project scope, risk, quality, schedule, and budget are properly monitored and controlled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role preferred.
- Experience managing external client projects or client-facing professional services engagements.
- Experience in IT consulting, technology services, software delivery, systems integration, or professional services strongly preferred.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience coordinating with technical teams.
- Experience working with remote development teams preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including scope management, budget tracking, resource planning, scheduling, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams that may include business analysts, developers, QA testers, technical resources, vendors, and client stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical updates into clear, business-focused communication for non-technical audiences.
- Adaptable, proactive, organized, and confident working through ambiguity.
- Background in Healthcare or Financial Services is a strong plus.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certification preferred.
