Gensler’s Brand Team in Dallas is seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Brand Designer to join our team of design thinkers and doers who specialize in helping to tell stories and create experiences in the context of the built environment. Your Role
As a Gensler Brand Designer, you will help our clients tell their unique stories effectively via every channel available in today’s diverse media landscape, with a focus on spatial design. The Brand Design team is embedded in a studio alongside Consulting, Architecture, and Interior Design practice areas, creating a unique opportunity to develop multidisciplinary solutions for our clients.
What You Will Do
- Assists with the design and delivery of the graphic/branding aspects of a project
- Works to develop design concepts, layouts and artwork that are initiated by others
- Contributes recommendations for design solutions
- Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and minor adaptation/modification of standard techniques and procedures
- Compose design presentations that are both verbally and visually compelling
- Demonstrates a general knowledge of graphic/brand design principals, graphic standards, technical details, codes, and material characteristics
- Produce creative print collateral, and digital and environmental solutions across multiple 2D and 3D applications
- Integrate brand messaging, color, imagery, type, and composition into deliverables
- Collaborate with clients, design teams, and other graphic designers on client projects across multiple sectors
- Update and reinvent static design assets into fresh animations
- Create dynamic, organic, 2D, 3D, technically accurate, animated content for use in external video
- Create lower thirds, transitions, and other dynamic content
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental design, architecture, visual communication or related field
- 0-5 years of experience after graduation in design or a related field
- Strong illustration, typography, composition, and information design skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Works well in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced environment
- Ability to visualize ideas in two and three dimensions
- Direct experience with the development and implementation of brand experiences, especially as translated to built environments
- Experience with built environment, comprehension of architectural scales, sections, plans and elevations a must
- Strong presentation skills; writing skills a definite advantage
- Preferred working knowledge of print production and fabrication, vendor management, signage, and wayfinding systems
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator with CAD tools, Photoshop, After effects), Figma, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work in 3D modeling programs such as SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Dimension is a strong advantage
