Full-Time | Remote
Preferred Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
Compensation: $110,000 to $140,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated bankruptcy expertise plus additional monthly bonus based on performance.

About the Role

Allmand Law is seeking an experienced Docket and Reviewing Attorney to join our consumer bankruptcy team. This role is designed for a knowledgeable bankruptcy attorney who can independently manage a high-volume docket, review cases for legal and procedural accuracy, resolve complex case issues, and represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings.

Our firm helps individuals and families regain financial control during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. The Docket and Reviewing Attorney plays a critical role in that mission by ensuring cases are legally sound, deadlines are met, hearings are properly handled, and clients receive clear, practical, and professional legal guidance.

This is a remote position, although preference will be given to candidates located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The attorney must be available to attend virtual or in-person hearings in the Dallas area of the Northern District of Texas as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Docket and Reviewing Attorney, you will oversee assigned Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters, review cases for legal and procedural issues, and help guide cases toward successful resolution.

Responsibilities include:

Reviewing consumer bankruptcy cases for legal sufficiency, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable court requirements
Managing assigned docket matters, hearings, deadlines, objections, and required responses
Conducting virtual and in-person client meetings to gather facts, confirm eligibility, address case concerns, and provide legal advice
Attending Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 hearings virtually or in person, as required
Preparing appropriate documentation for filing in accordance with established procedures, local rules, and general bankruptcy requirements
Drafting and electronically filing motions, responses, objections, amendments, and other pleadings through CM/ECF
Researching legal and factual issues affecting client cases
Retrieving, reviewing, and updating information in client case files
Identifying potential eligibility, exemption, income, asset, creditor, plan, or procedural issues
Communicating legal requirements, risks, deadlines, and next steps clearly to clients
Responding professionally and promptly to clients through email, text, telephone, and virtual meetings
Working collaboratively with paralegals, case-building attorneys, legal assistants, and other members of the firm
Helping resolve escalated client concerns and case-related conflicts
Maintaining accurate digital records and case status information
Using case management software and internal systems to track deadlines, document work, and move cases efficiently toward resolution
Supporting improvements to case quality, consistency, and operational efficiency

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced consumer bankruptcy attorney who combines strong legal judgment with practical problem-solving skills. You should be comfortable independently evaluating cases, making informed decisions, handling competing deadlines, and communicating with clients who may be experiencing significant financial and emotional stress.

This role requires an attorney who can balance efficiency with legal accuracy and client service. Strong candidates will be able to manage a substantial caseload while maintaining attention to detail, meeting court deadlines, and ensuring that each client receives responsive and professional representation.

Strong candidates will demonstrate:

Substantial experience handling Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters
Strong knowledge of consumer bankruptcy law, procedure, and court requirements
Sound legal judgment and the ability to identify and resolve complex case issues
Strong analytical, research, drafting, and issue-spotting skills
Excellent time-management and docket-management abilities
The ability to prioritize urgent matters and meet firm and court deadlines
Confidence conducting client meetings and explaining complex legal issues in understandable terms
Professionalism when managing difficult conversations or resolving conflicts
The ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality legal work
Comfort using case management systems, electronic filing platforms, digital records, and remote communication tools

Qualifications

Required:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law and good standing in the applicable jurisdiction
At least three years of consumer bankruptcy experience
Meaningful experience handling Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases
Experience reviewing, preparing, and filing bankruptcy pleadings and related documentation
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central Time
Authorization to work in the United States
Strong technology skills and the ability to become proficient with case management software, CM/ECF, digital records, and firm systems
Ability to attend virtual or in-person hearings in the Dallas area of the Northern District of Texas as needed

Preferred:

Texas law license
Admission to practice in the Northern District of Texas
Admission to practice in additional Texas bankruptcy districts
Experience managing a high-volume consumer bankruptcy docket
Experience handling contested matters, objections, motions, amendments, and case escalations
Professional Spanish-English bilingual proficiency
Location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area

Compensation and Benefits

Annual compensation of $110,000 to $140,000
