Help Wanted: Warehouse Manager/Procurement Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager/Procurement Director to join our team! If you have a strong background in purchasing, inventory management, and vendor negotiations, we want to hear from you.

Position Details:

Title: Warehouse Manager/Procurement Director
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
Overtime: Limited, on an as-needed basis
Employment Status: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

o Purchasing & Vendor Management:

Negotiate with vendors for material purchases, ensuring fair pricing.
Place purchase orders and determine delivery locations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new vendors to improve procurement efficiency.

o Inventory & Stock Control:

Review inventory levels, sales trends, and market conditions to determine timing and quantity of purchases.
Identify accurate minimum and maximum stock levels.
Monitor excess and obsolete inventory.
Support margin improvement by providing guidance on cost increases and corresponding price adjustments.
Work with Accounts Payable to resolve pricing and receiving discrepancies.

o Warehouse & Fleet Inventory Management:

Replenish inventory on all service vehicles daily, ensuring technicians and apprentices have necessary materials.
Communicate material delivery status (both stock and special order) with dispatch for accurate scheduling.
Maintain a neat and orderly stockroom and garage to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess:

Proven ability to successfully negotiate with multiple vendors.

· Strong background in inventory control, including setting minimum/maximum levels and inventory turn analysis.

· Superior analytical skills, with the ability to compile and summarize complex data.

· Proficiency in software programs such as Successware, along with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

· General knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing and heating, including related products.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
