Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. You will play a crucial role in menu planning, food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development, catering events, and banquet services.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance.
Help manage special dietary needs within the culinary department.

Skills

Strong kitchen management skills with experience in food production and service.
Knowledge of hospitality principles and practices related to food service.
Familiarity with dietary department requirements and catering operations.
Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively.
Proficient in food handling techniques and safety regulations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members and guests professionally.
