Full Job Description

Job Summary:

Position Overview – Aderis Energy, LLC is looking for a Senior Accountant that will be responsible for performing all the accounting functions for the company, including reconciliations, monthly closing, financial statement analysis, tax return preparation assistance, and cash management. Additionally, this position will work in conjunction with the COO/CFO, and owners on the operations of the company supporting them in the area of streamlining processes to scale the businesses for growth and expanding revenue streams.

Company Profile – Aderis Energy, LLC develops and delivers advanced energy resources integration solutions for the clean energy economy, including solar, energy storage, wind, EV chargers, and microgrids.

Since its inception, Aderis has been dedicated to providing the highest quality service, developing innovative technology, and providing valuable feedback to ensure that future projects are developed to ensure high reliability, maximum generating yields, and low-cost long-term ownership.

Job Responsibilities – Include, but are not limited to:

· Record all cash transactions, reconciling bank accounts on monthly basis.

· Preparation and delivery of all customer invoices. Follow up on AR collections on a weekly basis. Tracking invoicing schedules for the various revenue streams of the company to ensure invoicing is done timely and accurately. Tracking and billing annual software and data plan renewals.

· Amortization of Prepaid Expenses and other assets and Reconciliations on a monthly basis.

· Working with Procurement Manager to reconcile Inventory and ensure accuracy. Coordinate periodic cycle counts of inventory and reconcile to GL.

· Update Fixed Assets reconciliation, calculation of depreciation expense and book entry on a monthly basis.

· Accounts Payable – code and book all bills, ensuring accurate department and jobs are utilized, obtain approvals when needed, prepare AP pay run on a weekly basis, entering ACH payments.

· Reviewing and recording employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions. Reconciliation of Corporate American Express account each billing cycle ensuring all receipts and/or explanations of expenses are obtained.

· Book Accrued Expenses on a monthly basis and reconcile.

· Deferred Revenue – update reconciliations and post entries on a monthly basis.

· Recording revenue in accordance with GAAP including relevant supporting documentation of company’s revenue recognition policy.

· Tracking and calculating payments of commissions.

· Reviewing customer paid data plans and billing back overages to customers on a quarterly basis/ recommending right sizing plans if overages are consistent.

· Calculating and recording COGS for products shipped from fulfillment sheets. Work with Manufacturing Manager to ensure fulfillment sheets are accurate and appropriate inventory items are relieved.

· Preparation, review and booking of all journal entries, and perform all account reconciliations.

· Perform monthly financial closing processes, ensuring gl coding and numbers are complete and accurate for the company, and all balance sheet accounts are reconciled.

· Assistance with bi-weekly payroll run. Coding and recording of payroll journal entries.

· Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings including sales/use tax, personal property tax, and 1099 reporting.

· Identify and implement automation processes within the department to help create efficiencies in processing transactions.

· Assist in developing online platform for billing and accepting CC payments for spare parts, services, software and data plan renewals.

· Assist CFO with monthly analyses and reporting variances vs. budget or forecast, monthly cash flow projections and presentation of financial results to management.

· Assist CFO in preparation of the annual plan budget and periodic financial forecast for the company.

· Assist CFO with annual company review and tax return preparation process.

· Implementation and enforcement of internal controls; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

· Ad hoc reporting as requested by management.

Qualifications:

· Accounting or Finance Bachelors degree required.

· Minimum of three (3) years related accounting experience with general ledger accounting and monthly closings for an operation of similar size and complexity.

· Experience in project accounting and reporting.

· Experience in light manufacturing and inventory management a plus.

· Experienced in Quick books Software and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

· Detail oriented, able to perform detailed transactional work with ease and efficiency, but who also understands the relationships between financial statements, is able to review and analyze financial results and recommend areas for cost savings/ improvement.

· Proactive and able to suggest solutions to issues.

· Good communicator both to internal and external customers.

· Must be organized, able to multi-task, re-prioritize if necessary, and meet deadlines

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
