About Us

GP Erosion Control is a Nashville-based erosion control, grading, and landscaping company. We work commercial and residential jobs all across Middle Tennessee, and we're growing fast. We're not a huge corporation with a hundred layers of management — decisions get made quickly here, and the people who show up and take ownership get noticed.

The Job

Once a job is sold, it's yours. You run it from start to finish. That mainly comes down to two things: managing the crews in the field and keeping the client in the loop.

In practice, that looks like checking in on every crew three times a day, sending out next-day assignments each night, pulling production numbers and photos at the end of the day, and making sure every single client knows what happened on their job, every day. You're also expected to keep an eye out for change orders and upsell opportunities on every job — that's not a side task, it's part of how we measure whether you're doing this job well.

Schedule

Days start early, around 6am, and most days wrap up by 3–4pm. Expect about 45 hours a week once you're past the roughly two-week training period. After that, you get real flexibility in how you manage your day — we care about the job getting done right, not about watching a clock.

What You'll Drive

We'll provide a vehicle if you need one. If you'd rather use your own truck, we'll cover gas, mileage, tires, alignment, and oil changes.

We need someone who can look at how we're doing things and say "here's a better way to do this," and actually have us listen and act on it. You'll be working directly with the owner, not just taking orders from a clipboard. If you want a job where you disappear into a process someone else built, this probably isn't it. If you want a job where your judgment actually matters, it is.

What We Need From You

Experience managing crews or working in construction, landscaping, erosion control, or a similar trade

Someone who communicates without being asked — with your crews, with clients, and with the owner

Reliable, organized, and steady when things get hectic

Comfortable using a phone to log updates, send photos, and stay on top of things

Bonus if you speak Spanish — we have Spanish-speaking crews and it helps a lot

What This Job Isn't

This isn't a job for someone who needs to be told what to do every hour. If you need constant direction to stay productive, you won't like this role. If you take initiative without being asked, you'll do well here — and we'll notice.
