Full Job Description

Champion GSE Company, a subsidiary of the DEDIENNE Group, is a growing manufacturer of transport containers and industrial ground support equipment serving aerospace and industrial markets.

To support continued expansion in the United States, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This person will inspect multiple machined products daily and report the findings to the Technical Support Engineer. This person will also consistently utilize many hand inspection tools (caliper, micrometer, gauges, etc.) and visual inspection.

Purpose:

Responsible for inspection of incoming purchased product/raw materials and verification of fabricated parts in our facility.

Responsibilities

Conduct in incoming inspection activities as required.

Create inspection reports as needed.

Evaluate non-conformance findings and develop action plans.

Maintain quality records as required to assure compliance with all regulations.Interact with internal departments, vendors and customers.

Assist with customer audits, vendor audits and/or source inspections. Ability to validate inspections and interpret GD&T drawings.

Adhering to company policies and procedures per the Quality Management System, Safety Manual and Employee Handbook.

This position is subject to overtime.

Any other duties as required and requested by the Quality Manager.

Job Qualifications

Education

High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Experience

2 years QA inspection preferred.

Manufacturing experience in a machine shop or fabrication.

Knowledge of CMM (Faro) is preferred.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality systems preferred.

Experience with various types of welding.

Ability to identify weld imperfections.

Abilities, Knowledge & Skills

Use of Microsoft excel, word, power point, and windows is a must.

Visual requirement with or without corrective lenses to prove near vision acuity on Jaeger J2 at 16 inches or 20/25 and a color perception test to determine if color blind.

Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Must possess analytical thinking and reasoning skills.

Must be thorough and exercise attention to detail.

Must be able to set and maintain schedules.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality systems.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
