Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clerical/Dispatch individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to analyze data, and proficiency with various transportation management systems. Must have previous experience working with QuickBooks, and all facets of Microsoft Office (excel, word). If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy problem-solving, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to relay important information.
Ability to create reports in Excel, and work in provided worksheets.
Maintain accurate records through data entry of shipments, deliveries, and other relevant information.
Handle phone systems professionally, ensuring clear communication at all times.
Address any issues or delays promptly while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Requirements

Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred.
Familiarity with GPS technology and transportation management systems is essential.
Strong understanding of transportation planning principles.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data effectively for decision-making purposes.
Proficient in data entry with attention to detail.
At least 2 years
Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
A high school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or related fields is a plus.
