Summary: Responsible for the receiving and accurate issuing of consumable materials to customer orders and factory consumables. Industry standard material control techniques, including cycle counting, yearly physical inventory counts, will be used to ensure acceptable levels of inventory accuracy are always met. This position will develop and maintain local processes and procedures that ensure the ongoing integrity of the inventory and efficiency of sales order processing.
Essential Duties:
- Process customer orders on time in full.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through the completion of effective inventory control techniques, including Internal Audits, Cycle Counts, and Physical Inventory management.
- Work with Operations personnel to ensure a clear shared understanding of the importance of inventory accuracy and data control.
- Participate in BOM audits and track substitution/trial materials.
- Stock replenishes the production line with consumable materials and flags possible discrepancies to the manufacturing team.
- Monitor incoming materials and capture/quarantine non-conforming materials.
- Work with the Quality Department to ensure damaged product is accurately captured and removed from inventory, with appropriate escalation followed.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled audits of inventory to ensure count integrity, participate in cycle counts, and yearly physical inventory checks.
- Pick orders for customer orders and package for dispatch.
- Create Purchase requisitions in line with stocking policy and maintain healthy levels in line with sales forecasts.
- Monitor aged and obsolescence risk by SKU, ensure appropriate escalation is followed to manage cost control of held inventory.
- Ensure that all rules/policies stated within the Employee Handbook, the Company Safety Programs, and any federal or state guidelines/laws are being adhered to within the work cell.
- Maintain an ongoing culture of cleanliness and order within the inventory/storage area.
- Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
- Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- At least three years’ experience in manufacturing, specifically in inventory movement.
- Knowledge of materials processes, complex BOM environment.
- Thorough knowledge of ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to focus on complex tasks.
- Continuous Improvement experience and Lean Manufacturing Focused.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
