Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Medical Office Manager to lead the daily operations of our healthcare facility. This vital role involves overseeing administrative functions, managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining a seamless patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive medical office experience, and a passion for optimizing practice efficiency. As a cornerstone of our team, you will drive operational excellence while fostering a positive environment for staff and patients alike.

Duties

Supervise daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow across all departments
Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and billing processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
Manage human resources activities including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development in compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
Coordinate medical administrative support functions such as medical records management, appointment scheduling, and patient check-in/out procedures
Monitor clinic compliance with JCAHO standards and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety
Oversee medical billing, coding accuracy, managed care contracts, and utilization management to optimize revenue cycle management
Supervise clinical staff including nurses and support personnel in acute care or hospital settings to ensure quality patient care delivery
Implement policies for office management that enhance efficiency while maintaining high standards of medical management and customer service

Experience

Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration with a strong background in clinic or hospital settings
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and EMR/EHR systems.
Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams within a healthcare environment
Familiarity with fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and billing processes in a medical practice setting
Hands-on experience with dental office or veterinary practice management is a plus but not required
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and healthcare regulations such as JCAHO accreditation requirements
Prior experience managing managed care contracts and utilization review processes is highly desirable
