Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Security Operations, overseeing multi-site security functions with a focus on operational excellence, team management, and safety compliance. In this vital role, you will lead security teams across multiple locations, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities. Your expertise in physical security, emergency response, and security systems will drive proactive security strategies, foster a culture of safety, and uphold regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence security operations at a high level while managing diverse teams and complex security challenges.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures across all sites to ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.
Lead, mentor, and manage security personnel at multiple locations, fostering teamwork and high performance through effective communication and leadership.
Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security systems including access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other electronic security measures.
Coordinate emergency response efforts by establishing protocols for incidents such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security breaches; conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
Perform background checks on new hires and conduct ongoing personnel assessments to maintain a trustworthy security team.
Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate physical security measures; perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
Manage incident reporting processes by documenting events thoroughly through report writing; analyze incidents to improve future responses.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies; serve as the primary point of contact for external emergency responders when necessary.
Ensure all team members are trained in first aid, CPR, conflict management, and other relevant safety protocols to promote a safe working environment.
Maintain detailed records related to operations management, compliance audits, and incident logs; prepare reports for senior leadership.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of physical security principles, surveillance technology, access control systems, and law enforcement procedures.
Proven experience in operations management within a multi-site environment; strong organizational skills are essential.
Excellent team management capabilities with the ability to motivate diverse teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
Strong communication skills for effective report writing, conflict resolution, customer service interactions, and training delivery.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment setup or physical inspections; physically capable of conducting site patrols.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, scheduling, and correspondence purposes.
Knowledge of compliance with security regulations such as OSHA standards or local legal requirements related to physical security practices.
Background in military service or law enforcement is highly desirable for strategic insight into operational tactics.
Skills in performing background checks on personnel to ensure integrity within the team.
Experience in emergency response planning and execution; ability to remain calm under pressure during critical incidents.
