Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This is an entry-level to early-career position that will primarily support Accounts Payable, with some assistance in Accounts Receivable and other general accounting tasks as needed.

This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, focused, comfortable with data-entry work, and eager to learn. Extensive accounting experience is not required. We are more interested in finding someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and timely
Assist with coding invoices and matching supporting documentation
Maintain accurate vendor and invoice records
Assist with Accounts Payable processing and payment preparation
Research basic invoice or payment discrepancies
Perform routine data entry and accounting-related administrative tasks
Provide support to Accounts Receivable as needed
Upload customer invoices and supporting documentation to customer billing portals as required
Monitor customer portals to ensure invoices are submitted successfully and address basic submission issues
Assist with payment posting and customer account maintenance as needed
Maintain organized electronic records and supporting documentation
Assist the accounting team with other projects and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Dependable and able to stay focused on repetitive tasks
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Adaptable and comfortable taking on different responsibilities when needed
Good organizational and time-management skills
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous office, administrative, bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable experience is helpful but not required
Accounting degree or extensive accounting experience is not required
Training will be provided for the right candidate

Compensation

Approximately $40,000 annually, depending on experience.
