POSITION GOAL
Support, optimize, and manage information systems to improve organizational efficiency and productivity.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in a technical field such as software development, computer science, database administration, data analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three (3) year’s experience demonstrating expertise in data analysis, software development, data systems design, or database administration
- Hands-on administrative experience with complex enterprise systems and/or large databases
- Knowledge of information systems analysis, design, and development
- Proficiency with software development tools
- Ability to instruct staff in fundamentals of software development and system design
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with teams, leadership, customers, and the general public
- Ability to timely troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Demonstrated success managing projects including establishing goals, objectives, and action plans to produce innovative solutions to complex problems
- Preferred K-12 experience
- Requires demonstrated experience in SQL scripting, including proficiency with PostgreSQL and T-SQL
Performance Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the successful analysis, design, development, and implementation of information systems.
2. Serve as a liaison between the project team, user departments, and management.
3. Maintain a phased project development schedule.
4. Adhere to critical district deadlines.
5. Coordinate the development, scheduling, and execution of test and implementation plans
6. Use data translation, synchronization, and compiling to develop and support data sourcing and output to optimize operations.
7. Lead the development and support of reporting and analytics applications.
8. Develop applications using relational database management tools such as SQL Server to process data and produce business intelligence and analytics.
9. Develop data dashboards, and applications for end user data reporting and analysis.
10. Assure compliance with district and departmental standards.
11. Keep current with hardware and software technology through education courses and self-study.
12. Keep current with applicable state statutes.
13. Assume responsibility for suites of related systems/applications.
14. Implement custom application enhancements.
15. Must be able to attend and complete various training sessions to maintain knowledge of current technology and systems.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director – SIS, Manager of Business Applications, Director of Software & Systems, or CTO.
Pay: $75,993.00 - $87,353.00 per year
