About the Role
Associates International is seeking an experienced and mechanically inclined Bindery Operator -Gluer/Folder Machine to join our production team. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality finished products while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and safety throughout the bindery process.
The ideal candidate is a dependable team player with strong technical skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience operating gluer/folder equipment is strongly preferred.
Schedule: First Shift
Workweek Options: Flexible 4-day or 5-day schedules available
Compensation: Competitive and based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain gluer/folder equipment
- Read and interpret job specifications, production tickets, and work instructions
- Ensure safe, efficient, and accurate operation of bindery machinery
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Monitor product quality and adhere to company quality control standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and housekeeping requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, production staff, and team members
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of bindery equipment operating experience in a commercial printing environment
- Gluer/folder machine experience strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of hand tools and equipment maintenance
- Ability to read and accurately interpret job tickets and production instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 pounds
