Senior Clinical Director

Location: Delray Beach, Florida
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000 annually, based on experience

About the Opportunity

A premier behavioral health and addiction treatment organization is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for its clinical programs. This individual will oversee clinical staff, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across treatment services.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned clinical leader with experience managing high-end treatment programs, supervising multidisciplinary teams, and fostering excellence in both patient outcomes and clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight

Provide oversight and direction for all clinical programming to ensure high-quality patient care and treatment outcomes.
Structure and modify clinical programming to meet patient needs and maximize treatment effectiveness.
Review treatment plans and clinical documentation to ensure patients receive appropriate levels of care.
Serve as a Qualified Professional and provide required clinical approvals and documentation sign-off.
Lead interdisciplinary treatment teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and open communication.
Establish and maintain high standards of clinical care, professionalism, and ethical practice.

Staff Leadership & Development

Determine staffing needs and participate in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical personnel.
Provide ongoing clinical supervision through multidisciplinary team meetings and individual supervision sessions.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Ensure clinical staff adhere to organizational philosophy, treatment models, and best practices.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Conduct regular audits of patient charts and documentation to ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and organizational standards.
Provide supervision and corrective guidance regarding documentation quality and compliance issues.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and implement programs designed to enhance clinical outcomes and operational effectiveness.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to all organizational policies and procedures, including clinical, administrative, safety, and human resources policies.

Clinical Services

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with licensure requirements and applicable standards.
Respond effectively to clinical concerns and after-hours issues as needed.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with patients, families, referral partners, and colleagues.

Financial & Operational Management

Manage and maintain clinical program budgets.
Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
Make recommendations to executive leadership regarding program growth, clinical strategy, and resource allocation.

Business Development & Community Relations

Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and professional partners.
Conduct quality assurance and relationship-management calls with referral partners.
Address service-related concerns and ensure exceptional stakeholder satisfaction.
Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, speaking engagements, and community outreach opportunities.

Qualifications

Required

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Licensed or certified in substance use and/or co-occurring disorders treatment in the State of Florida, or eligible for licensure.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience within a substance use disorder or behavioral health treatment setting.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience.
Experience managing high-end, premium behavioral health or addiction treatment programs.
Experience working with in-network insurance programs.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Preferred

Specialized certifications in trauma, process addictions, or related clinical specialties.
Experience in residential treatment settings.
If in recovery, two or more years of continuous sobriety preferred.
