Full Job Description

The Chef is responsible for implementing the company’s vision and culture in all areas of food service.

Primary Responsibilities

Work alongside the company Executive team to be philosophically aligned with our vision and culture.
Work with the Executive team to create annual Organizational Priorities followed by the implementation of those Organizational Priorities to the Restaurant team members.
Plan and direct the functions of the Culinary team to meet the daily needs of the operation.
Create successful core and seasonal food menus that are on brand, innovative and delicious that perform with financial success.
Continue engineering menus using available data to maximize profitability.
Mentor location Restaurant team members using management training tools.
Produce and maintain an effective and measurable succession plan for all levels of team members within your department.
Ensure managers are using proper tools to staff their restaurants correctly in all departments to build sales and improve profitability.
Participate in the hiring and development process of all new team members in your department.
Assist all Management in driving performance and sales levels for the restaurant.
Ensure the restaurant achieves and maintains acceptable standards of sanitation, food safety and cleanliness.
Recommend new Marketing and Operating policies when deemed necessary.
Establish and review budgets for the culinary team to ensure they are aligned with company goals.
Responsible for all aspects of culinary operations.
Maintain effective communication between the Executive team and restaurant level management.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Our Chef will meet the minimum requirements listed below.

Represent the company’s core values of integrity, vigilance and excellence.
Must have a solid media presence.
Read and be familiar with AAA Star Rating Criteria.
Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and listening skills.
Ability to interact positively and professionally with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
Ability to recruit, hire and retain a great culinary team.
Must have strong leadership skills and be able to effectively teach, coach and develop the culinary team.
CPR and defibrillator certified.
Serve Safe Certified.
Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment
Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs. Independently and safely
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Constant computer and/or POS usage.
Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
Constant reaching, turning and performing precision work
Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
Constant clarity of vision at near and / or far distances
Monitor and manage department staffing levels

Each team member, hourly and salary will be required to be in compliance with and updated with all employment policies. We are committed to hiring individuals that support the brands and are aligned with our business objectives.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
