Westnet, LLC is a technology centered company that provides state-of-the-art dispatch and alerting systems to 911 Centers and Fire Departments who serve civilian, industrial and Department of Defense communities. We are looking for a high-energy, customer-focused Install Technician to join our installation team. The ideal candidate must be driven, detail oriented, and possess excellent technical field skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems of fire station alerting equipment.
· Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables
· Use test equipment for various maintenance installation activities.
· Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
· Clears trouble by cleaning, adjusting, or replacing equipment; or by computer input commands; repairs faulty wiring.
· Dispatched to work at various locations and will be required to drive company vehicle to locations.
· Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Read blueprints to determine how to best install the components and wiring
· Document installation and service activities accurately, maintaining comprehensive records for future reference.
· Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages, testing network back-up procedures, and updating documentation.
· Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns and answering questions.
· Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
· Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
· Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Basic understanding of electrical systems and low voltage technology
· Knowledge of wiring, circuit design, and installation techniques
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Scissor/Aerial lift certification is a plus
· Valid Driver’s license required
· Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines or to restore service outages
· Travel required (in Colorado and out of state travel)

Computer: Ability to type. Proficiently use Microsoft Office applications as well as other industry-specific technology tools used within the organization. Specific programs used are Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM.
Physical and Environmental Elements:
Physical Demands: The employee must be able to sit continuously for over 1/3 of the normal work shift while performing computer-based and managerial tasks. Standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms may be required for at least 1/3 to 2/3 of the work shift, particularly during site visits and field inspections. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling technical equipment is required for over 2/3 of the normal work shift.
The employee must have the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for up to 2/3 of the normal work shift when accessing telecommunications equipment, inspecting infrastructure, or entering restricted or confined spaces. The role requires climbing ladders, stairs, or elevated structures occasionally.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work may require entering confined spaces, working in varying environmental conditions (including outdoor weather conditions), and navigating uneven terrain.
Vision: Ability to see at close range (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less) Ability to see at a distance (clear or corrected vision at 20 feet or more). Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point. Ability to perceive differences in wire and cable colors.
Work Environment: This position may be performed in a combination of office and field environments. Office work is conducted in a professional setting with standard office equipment and moderate noise levels (e.g., computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, light foot traffic, and telephones). The role also requires travel to customer locations such as fire departments, dispatch centers, and other public safety facilities. Site visits may involve exposure to elevated noise levels, active equipment, and operational environments. During site visits, the employee may be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, gloves, hearing protection, or other protective gear as required by the location or applicable safety regulations.

Pay: $23.50 - $28.50 per hour
