Full Job Description

Nielsen Mechanical Contractors, a Crete United Company, is a growing commercial HVAC contractor serving the Denver metro area. With a strong backlog of commercial projects, we're seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead field crews, deliver high-quality installations, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and supervise sheet metal installation crews on commercial HVAC construction projects.
Plan and coordinate daily work activities to meet project schedules, productivity goals, and quality standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and coordination documents.
Coordinate manpower, equipment, material deliveries, and subcontractors with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
Mentor, train, and develop apprentices and installers while promoting a strong team culture.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, SMACNA standards, company expectations, and applicable codes.
Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Communicate project progress, field challenges, manpower needs, and schedule impacts with project leadership.
Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining production and minimizing delays.
Perform quality inspections, complete punch list items, and support project closeout activities.
Maintain accurate daily reports, labor tracking, and field documentation.
Foster a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

7+ years of commercial HVAC sheet metal installation experience.
Previous experience leading crews as a Lead Installer, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and HVAC plans.
Working knowledge of SMACNA standards and commercial HVAC installation practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining quality and productivity.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Own basic hand tools required for the trade.
Reliable, professional, safety-focused, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
Ability to work Monday-Friday, 40+ hours per week, with overtime and occasional weekends as project needs require.
