Junior Accountant

Salary: $60,000–$66,000
Location: 100% Remote (Colorado Residents Only)
Schedule: 40 hours, Mon-Thurs, flexible around core business hours

Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its collaborative accounting team. This fully remote opportunity is perfect for an early-career accounting professional who wants to gain hands-on experience in month-end close, financial reporting, NetSuite, audits, and tax compliance while working alongside an experienced Controller.

Junior Accountant Responsibilities

As the Junior Accountant, you will:

Prepare journal entries, bank transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations

Support the monthly close process, including accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, and allocations

Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities

Maintain fixed asset records and monthly depreciation schedules

Support sales tax filings, 1099 reporting, and other compliance requirements

Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation

Help improve accounting processes and ensure accurate financial reporting

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

1–3 years of accounting experience

Recent experience using NetSuite

Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations

Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Self-motivated with excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to work independently in a remote environment
