Automotive Collision Parts Technician

Body Works Plus | Charlotte, NC | NoDa District

Body Works Plus is one of Charlotte’s most respected and highly certified collision repair centers, recently voted Best Auto Body Shop in Charlotte. Our reputation is built not just on exceptional repairs, but on delivering a customer experience that people remember.

Body Works Plus is looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Parts Technician to take ownership of our collision repair parts process and help keep production moving.

Our goal is to repair vehicles correctly and keep families safe by following manufacturer repair procedures and investing in the latest tools, equipment, information, and training.

We also believe in creating a positive workplace where our team can grow personally and professionally while maintaining a good quality of life.

What You'll Do

Accurately order, receive, inspect, and mirror match parts
Participate in the repair planning process to identify required parts
Research OEM parts, procedures, pricing, and availability
Track orders, backorders, and outstanding parts
Build complete and organized parts carts for technicians
Identify incorrect or damaged parts before they affect production
Manage returns, cores, credits, and vendor follow-up
Negotiate vendor pricing and help maximize parts profitability
Keep the parts department, carts, bins, and warehouse clean and organized
Update parts status and help keep the production board accurate
Work with technicians and repair planners to eliminate production bottlenecks
Pick up parts when needed
Take ownership of the parts process from ordering through completion

What We're Looking For

We want someone who is:

Highly organized and detail-oriented
Dependable, accountable, and self-motivated
Comfortable managing multiple orders and priorities
Persistent with vendor follow-up and problem-solving
Comfortable with computers, online catalogs, and parts research
A strong communicator and team player
Focused on accuracy, efficiency, and profitability

Automotive or collision parts experience is preferred. Experience with electronic parts ordering, OEM catalogs, estimating/management systems, or ALLDATA is a plus.
