Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Apartment Assistant Manager to join our property management team. In this vital role, you will support the overall operations of residential communities, ensuring exceptional resident experiences and efficient property management. Your expertise in lease administration, tenant relations, and property maintenance will drive the success of our apartment communities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong understanding of property management tools and legal regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
Support lease or rental agreement management using property management software such as Yardi and OneSite
Handle client communication with professionalism, addressing resident inquiries and resolving conflicts promptly
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant laws, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements
Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and record keeping for all property-related documents and contracts
Collaborate with team members to oversee property maintenance and facilities management activities
Contribute to budgeting processes and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue streams
Assist in conflict management situations by applying effective negotiation skills and conflict resolution techniques
Support leasing efforts through customer service excellence and upselling rental units or additional services
Use property management tools such as Microsoft Office, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems to streamline operations

Experience

Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on leasing or rental agreements
Familiarity with property management software including Yardi, OneSite, and Office experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and facilities management practices
Experience handling conflict resolution, client communication, and negotiation within a property or customer service setting
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Strong organizational skills related to data entry, filing systems, and contract administration
Previous team management experience is preferred but not required; a proactive attitude towards learning is essential
