Business Office / Medicaid Specialist
Skilled Nursing Facility – Sussex County, NJ
$75,000 – $90,000 per year

A long-term care facility in Sussex County, NJ is looking for an experienced Business Office / Medicaid professional to join its team. This position is a good fit for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with Medicaid cases, and able to stay on top of billing, collections, and resident financial matters.

The role involves working closely with residents, families, facility leadership, and outside agencies to help ensure Medicaid applications, billing, and related business office processes are handled accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle Medicaid applications, renewals, and follow-up from beginning to end
Communicate with residents and families regarding required financial documentation
Track pending applications and follow up with Medicaid offices as needed
Review resident financial information related to eligibility
Assist with billing, claims submission, payment posting, and account follow-up
Help resolve denials, payment issues, and outstanding balances
Monitor Medicaid Managed Care enrollment and related follow-up
Support day-to-day business office operations
Assist with collections, census-related billing items, and reporting
Maintain organized records and documentation
Help ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable regulations

Qualifications:

Experience in a nursing home business office, Medicaid, billing, or collections
Familiarity with Medicaid processes; New Jersey Medicaid experience is a plus
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to communicate professionally with families, residents, and staff
Comfortable working with billing systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic records
Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment
