Pay- $18.00 – $20.00 an hour, based on experience and qualifications

At Marks Law Firm, no two days are ever the same. We pride ourselves on being a teaching law firm, where our staff members are continually learning, growing, and developing new skills. We practice primarily in the areas of bankruptcy and foreclosure law, which helps members of the community through some of the most difficult times of their lives. Our team is committed to providing outstanding client service while supporting one another every step of the way.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, outgoing, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with people. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can prioritize multiple tasks, adapt quickly when priorities change, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
Scheduling client consultations and appointments
Following up with current and prospective clients
Monitoring and responding to office email accounts
Entering and maintaining client information in multiple software systems
Saving and organizing electronic documents in client files
Filing bankruptcy cases electronically with the court, using various court E-file systems
Collecting and processing data & documents for clients.
Responding to requests from court personnel
Maintaining physical client files and organizing filing systems
Processing client payments accurately and efficiently
Assisting with payroll processing alongside the Office Manager
Working closely with the main Attorney, law clerks, and support staff to ensure clients receive exceptional service
Assisting wherever needed throughout the office as daily priorities shift

Be comfortable learning new technology and software

Be flexible and willing to jump in wherever help is needed

Preferred Qualifications

Previous office or administrative experience required
Customer service experience preferred
Experience with office 365 and general computer software
Ability to learn new software quickly
Experience in a law office is a plus but not required
