Job Overview

Meramec Dermatology is a growing, patient-centered dermatology practice with offices in Sunset Hills and Arnold, Missouri. We are committed to providing exceptional dermatologic care while fostering a collaborative, supportive, and positive workplace where our team members can succeed.

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistants to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant at Meramec Dermatology, you'll be an integral part of our clinical team, helping provide exceptional patient care while supporting our physicians and fellow team members. Responsibilities include:

Welcome patients, collect medical histories, and accurately document information in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examinations, procedures, and in-office surgeries.
Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Prepare and administer injections, medications, and other treatments as directed by the physician.
Assist physicians during dermatologic examinations and surgical procedures.
Capture clinical photographs to support patient care and treatment plans.
Communicate with patients in person, by phone, and through the electronic medical record regarding their care and follow-up instructions.
Deliver compassionate, respectful care while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Assist with prior authorizations, prescription requests, and other clinical documentation as needed.
Monitor, stock, and maintain inventory of medical supplies and office materials.
Adhere to all healthcare regulations and safety standards, including HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
Support the practice by performing additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.
Be flexible and willing to work at both our Sunset Hills and Arnold office locations as needed.

Qualifications

We're looking for a dependable, patient-focused team member who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of experience in a medical office setting; dermatology experience is preferred but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Basic knowledge of patient care, medical terminology, and clinical procedures.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, with a compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
Proficiency with computers, tablets, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
The ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain organized in a fast-paced clinical environment.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow through feedback.
A reliable, dependable, and team-oriented mindset.

Schedule

Our office hours are Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Enjoy a consistent daytime schedule with no evenings, weekends, or major holidays.*
This is an on-site position serving our Sunset Hills and Arnold, MO locations. Remote work is not available.
