Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) to join our team. In this vital role, you will be the first line of defense in airport security, responsible for screening passengers and baggage to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas. Your proactive approach will help maintain a safe travel environment while delivering excellent customer service to travelers. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute directly to national security and public safety.

Responsibilities

Conduct transportation security screening of passengers, baggage, cargo, and carry-on items using manual handling techniques and X-ray interpretation tools
Enforce airport security protocols in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies
Perform background checks on individuals as part of security clearance processes
Use de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to handle difficult or disruptive passengers effectively
Interpret policy guidelines accurately to ensure compliance with all security regulations and procedures
Operate screening equipment efficiently while maintaining emotional regulation techniques during high-pressure situations
Assist travelers with in-person customer service, providing clear instructions and support throughout the screening process

Requirements

Ability to communicate fluently in English with excellent interpersonal skills
Prior experience or knowledge related to aviation or airport security protocols is preferred but not mandatory
Capable of performing physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling as required for baggage screening and security checks
Strong understanding of transportation security screening procedures and policy interpretation
Demonstrated ability to maintain composure through emotional regulation techniques during stressful interactions
Willingness to perform background checks and adhere strictly to compliance standards
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances within airport facilities, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
